Pelletstown is open for children's lessons only.
Horse Sport Ireland statement: “As per Government guidelines, non-contact training can continue for school aged children only, outdoors in pods of up to 15. You are allowed to take school-aged children to permitted training even if it is outside 5km of home.”
Due to COVID-19 Pelletstown can no longer provide riding equipment, so all riders are required to use their own helmet, body protector and boots. All riders must wear their own gloves.
Whether it's lessons with our instructors or leisurely farm hacks, we have ponies and horses to suit children and adults of all standards.
Enjoy horse riding all-year-round as we have indoor and outdoor arenas, a sand gallop and over 60 stables.
Our cross-country course is set on our 100-acre farm. The track has obstacles to suit all levels and are always optional!
We offer a competitive livery service, with packages including lessons and access to all facilities.
Everyone taking riding lessons must complete a risk advisory form as required by the Association of Irish Riding Establishments (AIRE). Please download it here, complete in full and bring it along to your first lesson. If you have made a group booking, each person is required to fill out a form.
During the summer and school holidays we run pony camps which give children the chance to "own a pony" for a week.
Camps include three hours riding each day and stable management classes. Children learn all about taking care of their pony, general stable duties and preparing for a competition.
On the final day of the camp, all children will take part in a show to award their efforts throughout the week
Pelletstown Riding Centre is one of the longest-standing approved horse riding schools in Ireland.
Set on 100 acres in Co Meath, just 15 miles from Dublin City Centre and airport, the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere at Pelletstown invites riders of all levels to enjoy the sport and we pride ourselves on the personal attention we give to our clients.
The centre is owned and run by the Geraghty family, members of whom have progressed through the ranks in the horse racing world to enjoy major successes at home and abroad. The centre also hosted the award-winning reality TV series Jockey Eile, in which young aspiring jockeys came to Pelletstown for a two-week intense bootcamp course.
Pelletstown Riding Centre is approved by the Association of Irish Riding Establishments.
